Learn More About...Pop Culture of the Swing Era
There is no possible way to capture every aspect of popular culture during the four decades that make up the swing era here on this one web page, and we are not going to try! This page is intended to be a brief overview, to present a few tidbits, to capture some of the more important or more influential aspects of the culture, and to even give you some of the more obscure but more fun trivia from the era. At the bottom, you will find links to other websites that provide more information and we encourage you to do your own research. There are also, of course, a plethora of books available on all aspects of life during the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, as well as many excellent documentaries. (If you have not seen Ken Burns' Jazz from PBS, you are really missing out!)
