Why Not Go Out Dancing Tonight? Dancing socially is a vital component to learning to dance. It gives you ample opportunity to practice, it lets you experiment with new moves and improvisation, it lets you experience many different leaders and followers. Plus, it's just so much fun! Swing Des Moines brings its members - and the general public - many excellent opportunities to dance. Jive Junction is our monthly dance. Held on the third Friday of every month, most dancers in the metro make this a regular part of their schedules. Live Junction features live bands and great dancing. Live Junction is held several times each year. Second Sunday Swingout is a free monthly outdoor dance. Held spring through fall, S3 is a fun chance to dance outside in the sunshine!
